In laws live 15 minutes away..everyone in the family just hated on this place but I had one hell of a time on the mountain today. Staff is super friendly and will definitely be going back. Runs are designed to give you a chance to design your own challenge each time. Blending and mix matching. Great time and great value!

Really good time here. Very small ski area but extremely fun. If you are skilled there are short but big runs with fun cliffs, beginner? There is a mid station on the the only lift to take you to easier terrain to learn on. The night skiing was outrageously fun. Could the lights be brighter? Yeah. Do the lights not illuminating parts of the run make it exciting and fun? Also yeah. Overall extremely happy with my experiences here.

A great family friendly ski area!!! Even with beginners, we had an incredible time on the mountain! They slowed the lift down for the kids to make sure there weren't any issues when they got on or off (and it wasn't just for our family). The staff care about everyone enjoying themselves, and are attentive to people's needs. You can go to a big resort where you are just a number, or you can go to Hesperus and be a part of a family.

Went night riding last night. Needs some fresh pow and its a perfect mountain. But I definitely recommend you stop by Hesperus, catch the sunset and get some runs in. Very beautiful.

First time visit to Hesperus for skiing. Nice “low key” ski area with “old school” amenities. Very family friendly and seems to be a great place for local families to have an “off the beaten path” place to ski. Not crowded at all. On our first run, we got off at the top and took the “green run” down to start. There were a few places on the green switchbacks that were quite narrow with sharp turns. A little intimidating since there is a big drop off at the turns. I am guessing the runs were a little narrower than usual due to the significant amount of snow we’ve had? If you are a beginner, get off at the midway and take that down for a nice run. The parking lot was super muddy and our Jeep was covered in mud (next stop: car wash). Bring some plastic garbage bags with you to use to change into your boots so your socks don’t get muddy. You might need 4WD to get in and out of the parking lot?

Fun skiing with small crowds and low prices. We bought lift tickets for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) for $92 and only had 2.5 hours to ski. We were able to ride the lift over and over with no lines. This trip was well worth it and will return for low cost lessons for my youngest. Parking is right off the highway.

This place is a GEM! Small ski lodge, no lift lines, reasonable prices! What really prompted my review was the staff. I own retail businesses and appreciate good service, and feel it should be recognized. The staff is personable and cheery. No body had a bad attitude and was happy to assist. The ladies at the front checked us out quick, gave us a bunch of info, and Cole and Caleb in the rental department made getting our gear a piece of cake. Every time. We visited this lodge for a week. Consistent with the service. I would recommend to anyone. Good place to learn, or if you have experience. Pack a lunch, there is no concession!

A super fun ski area not alot of amenities but simple and fun and you can't beat the price. I've been riding this hill for over 28 years and still love it .Also you can rent gear and tubes here and the lines are usually short which means more runs per day.
